Dave was instrumental in the successful reorganisation of his Product, Engineering and Design team. The team now delivers the personal, curated and varied experience customers look for, breathing life into core areas of the business.

Dave has heavily invested in enhancing the Product Management discipline at Spotify, leading initiatives to define roles, expectations and career path for the entire Spotify Product team. His dedication to product innovation is reflected in Spotify’s best year ever for user growth. The company now has 100+ million global users, 30 million monthly subscribers, 10 million of whom subscribed in the past 9 months alone.

With Moovit, he created a product and platform that is built to scale and that supports the launch of a new city every 24 hours, sustained by a huge community of editors who map their city’s transit data information. In early 2016 he oversaw the rebuilding of Moovit 4.0 for iOS and Android from the ground up, and it’s now ranked as a top app in all app stores with user ratings of over 4.5 stars.

He assembled and leads a world-class product and creative design team to drive continuous innovation, but still makes time to mentor young entrepreneurs.

Efe has championed technical innovation and product excellence to put MUBI on the movie map.

Over the past 12 months he oversaw the design and deployment of MUBI’s own custom global video streaming network (MubiCDN) with 100% HTTP streaming. It now offers the highest network performance and playback around the world, without the need to install Microsoft Silverlight or Adobe Flash.


MUBI’s innovative approach to film selection successfully differentiates it from the competition. Its classic, independent, mainstream and foreign films are uniquely ‘curated by humans’. Efe himself was instrumental in securing global exclusive streaming rights to JUNUN, the Radiohead documentary from celebrated director Paul Thomas Anderson.
